SAQCC is a non-profit licensing body, working with the Department of Employment and Labour and the SETAs, to maintain a public register of accredited Skills Development Providers (SDPs), registered practitioners and verified competency certificates issued under the OHS Act, Mine Health and Safety Act and the Driven Machinery Regulations.
Verification is for registered Employers and SDPs. Sign in or register to verify a certificate, practitioner or SDP on the national database.
SAQCC Portal Sign-InEmployer registration is free. SDP registration requires QCTO/SETA accreditation.
Every SAQCC-registered practitioner carries a Practitioner Verification Card. Use the registration number on the card to confirm the holder is current and is registered for the field of practice they are claiming.

Verification is for registered Employers and SDPs. Register your company in a few minutes to start verifying practitioners on your sites.
SAQCC verifies, registers and monitors the SDPs, assessors and moderators who issue competency certificates — so employers, contractors and the public can trust that a certificate is real, current and issued under the right scope.
Skills Development Providers register with SAQCC against their QCTO and SETA accreditations. Only registered SDPs may upload learners and issue certificates through the SAQCC database.
Every assessor and moderator is verified against the SETA-issued accreditation for the specific unit standards or skills programmes within their scope.
SDPs upload learners against an approved site and approved scope. The system issues a unique serial number that is published on the public verification database.
SAQCC monitors compliance, runs audits and operates a fair disciplinary procedure with the right of appeal — protecting employers from non-compliant SDPs.
Once registered with SAQCC, Skills Development Providers maintain compliance through five ongoing commitments.
Remain registered with SAQCC and keep accreditations current.
Undertake training to improve competency levels.
Engage with accreditation authorities and the DoEL within the training and labour sector.
Report non-compliance observed in the industry.
Assist non-compliant SDPs to become compliant through SAQCC registration.
If your operation requires a person to hold a competency certificate, you must ensure the operator is licensed under the OHS Act and Driven Machinery Regulations — and that the SDP is registered with SAQCC. Register your company to start verifying SDPs and practitioners on your sites.
Apply for SAQCC registration once you hold accreditation with the QCTO and the relevant SETA. The SAQCC Portal is where you submit your accreditation documents, add your assessors and moderators, and upload learners.
Ask your employer or SDP to verify your competency certificate on the SAQCC national database. Your employer can also confirm that the SDP that trained you is currently registered.
